The Role: Autajon Packaging is seeking an experienced and dynamic Gluing Supervisor at our Cultech, Inc location in South Plainfield, NJ to be responsible for the management of the Gluing Department which includes Stripping, Gluing, Windowing and ensuring that all department employees uphold standards of safety, quality production and efficiency. The Gluing Supervisor will actively manage the operational performance of the department, which will require daily production meetings with the Operational Managers, to ensure an optimal level operation. The Gluing Supervisor is responsible for maintaining accuracy regarding ERP and the customer's requirements. The Gluing Supervisor will also complete monthly inventory reports and identify areas of opportunities within departmental processes in order to maximize cost efficiency and productivity. This position reports to the Converting and Logistics Manager.
What is the Vision, Strategy, and Leadership needs?
Supervise and support department personnel and oversee proper gluing of cartons.
Ensure proper daily staffing to meet capacity requirements not limited to all Talent Acquisition efforts.
Monitor production data and ensure departmental production schedules remains on-time.
Attend daily production meetings to discuss plant activities, staffing and schedules.
Manage all electronic machine logs and ensure accurately is maintained in the Company's ERP.
Maintain quality levels for product in compliance with customer requirements.
Develop and maintain department specific work instructions and maintenance programs.
Manage purchasing of piece parts, tooling and materials while identifying cost savings.
Complete monthly WIP inventory report and implement company action plans.
Identify and propose machine tooling and material investments in anticipation of future needs.
Carry out research and development (R&D) projects and provide communication and ROI analysis.
Monitor and evaluate the activities of employees and provide coaching, motivation, guidance and on the job training as necessary to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to policies and procedures.
Engage employees, maintain relations, organize work and achieve efficiency and departmental goals.
High School diploma or GED.
