If so, we are seeking a highly motivated Cost Controller to join our team in Corona, CA.  This is your opportunity to be part of an industry leader in printing, folded carton and packaging products. We are part of the Autajon Group - Packaging Division with locations in the U.S. throughout Europe and Asia.   


As a Cost Controller, your role will be to plan, design, develop, and launch cost efficient business, financial, and operations support of organizational functions and business processes.

This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements.

You will also be tasked with generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to issues. You will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize operational goals which includes, reporting, process/continuous improvement to that will positively impact margins and the control of costs.


  • Collaborate and work with stakeholders while supporting financial and operations goals and identify and resolve issues as they come up.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and management of costs.
  • Identify and establish scope and parameters of analysis to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential issues and opportunities. Develop and document best practices and procedures as needed.
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analysis for proposed projects to aid management in making implementation decisions. This includes the review of quotes or to ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Review of production jobs to ensure accurate estimates translate effectively within technology, mechanical and staffing capabilities.
  • Gap analysis, research continuing and creating of teams as needed to resolve any variances.
  • Produce monthly reports of findings, recurring or as needed data as requested by stakeholders.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in written format, with stakeholders, vendors/suppliers, and management.
  • Present a proactive approach to improvement (e.g. understanding and application of problem-solving tools ? brainstorming). Perform any special project as assigned by management and stakeholders.


  • Business school degree (major in cost controlling)
  • First experience in audit firm or as a cost controller in an industrial environment
  • Rigorous, you are endowed with a good spirit of analysis and synthesis.
  • Standalone, you are used to building Excel files and getting information where they are.
  • Able to go on the floor but also to work remotely if needed, you like working in a team.
  • Diplomatic, good communicator, you know how to adapt to the culture of your interlocutors to impose your recommendations.
  • Responsive and dynamic, you will know how to adapt and contribute to the good performance of the site.
